oose Women presenter Kaye Adams has revealed that she was left unable to walk after injuring her knee at a fitness class.
The 60-year-worn revealed that her leg gave way while walking through London and admitted she “couldn’t understand what was happening” to her.
Speaking on Kaye Adams: How to be 60 podcast, she said: “It was terrible. My leg just gave up on me. I was in the middle of London. I was walking from Goodge Street to Bank and my leg literally stopped working.
“It was so embarrassing; I couldn’t obtain up the stairs at the tube station. You know when you hold one leg up first and then you drag the other up, you scrutinize like Frankenstein’s Monster.
“I just couldn’t understand what was happening to me. Usually at a tube station I flamboyantly skip up and down the stairs – ‘scrutinize at me, I’m 60 and I’m skipping!’”
The Scottish broadcaster recalled injuring her knee during her F45 workout, which is a fitness class designed to improve strength and endurance through hit intensity interval circuit training.
Reflecting on her gym routine, Adams claimed she’s “too worn” for the class, claiming she’s twice the age of her fellow gym-goers.
She continued: “I’m too worn for them. It’s heavy duty circuit training, weights, burpees, all that sort of stuff.
“I’m twice the age of everybody else in the class and I’m really starting to feel it and now I’m going to maintain to depart back and underneath my Lycra leggings I’m going to maintain an elastic bandage – it’s just going to scrutinize f*****g tragic.
“It’s sore. And the worst thing is that it was all puffy and there’s nothing more ageing than a puffy knee. An elastic bandage on your knee and you’re worn.”
The TV presenter is a keen fitness fantatic and recently competed in the latest series of Strictly arrive Dancing – but was the first contestant to leave the BBC ballroom.
